Kevin Jennings' appointment as the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools at the US Department of Education is a direct assault on the innocence and dignity of public school children. Regular Folks United chronicled Kevin Jennings' disturbing record:
Jennings founded and ran the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN), an organization where instructors had explicitly described to middle school youngsters how to perform homosexual sexual acts, known as "Fistgate".
As a teacher, Jennings was told by a boy of 15 that he had been sexually abused by an older man, but did not tell authorities or his parents or do anything to protect the youngster from the abuser.
Jennings publicly stated that he was inspired by Harry Hay. Harry Hay was the number one proponent and promoter of pedophilia in the country through his support of The North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA).
Jennings wrote the forward to a book called Queering Elementary Education. Jennings has publicly, in writing and in speeches, ridiculed and demeaned people of faith. Jennings has publicly, and in writing, encouraged young people to defy their parents and religious leaders.
Kevin Jennings criticized schools for "promoting heterosexuality" at a GLSEN event in 2000.
